Carter Park Neighborhood
The Carter Park neighborhood encompasses the area from the west
side of Main Street to the east side of the railroad tracks, and
from the north side of Fourth Plain Boulevard to the alley north
of 33rd Street.
History
The Carter Park neighborhood was named for Joseph Carter, a businessman
and Vancouver city councilman.
Some of the earliest homes were built in 1900-1910 and were primarily
Cottage or Bungalo style.The Carter Park neighborhood is a great
place to start if you are looking for an older home with classic
styling. Carter Park is close to Uptown Village, and has excellent
access to public transportation, I-5, and is close to shopping.
