It rains quite
often in the Pacific Northwest. Rain might be the wrong
word, as it usally just mists or perhaps a light rain falls.
The winter and spring rains are what make this area green
and lush year around and an ideal climate for gardeners.
We get around 36" of rainfall per year, which falls
mainly in November thru March.
In the mountains, the rain falls as snow, so we have some
great ski areas around here. Mount Hood Meadowns is probably
the most popular, although quite a few make the trip to
Mount Bachelor. Base depth is usually well over 100",
with 100+ runs between the two of them.
